The Australian indie label shares 4 unreleased tracks from Touch Sensitive, Chrome Sparks, Charles Murdoch and Thrupence and more, in one classic mixtape.
Future Classic is just that: a boundary-bending indie label that’s defining the sound of tomorrow, and reimagining electronic’s pop present. The label started as a passion project -- an after-hours outfit dedicated to surfacing obscure vinyl singles and the best of Australia’s homegrown scene. Today, it’s home to Flume, Chet Faker, Flight Facilities, Classixx, Ta-ku, and a collective of artists who push past music’s mainstream.
This fall, Future Classic will kick off a series of intimate club nights around the US. Starting October 22nd in San Francisco, followed by dates in LA and New York, the series will feature Future Classic artists and friends, including Classixx, SOPHIE, Cyril Hahn, HNNY, Kenton Slash Demon, Touch Sensitive, Basenji, Charles Murdoch, and more.
To celebrate the series, Future Classic are sharing the FC 2015 Sampler: a new Bundle of previously unreleased tracks from Touch Sensitive, Chrome Sparks, Charles Murdoch, and Thrupence, some recent favorites by Flume, Basenji, Kenton Slash Demon and Panama. Listen up. The bundle also includes a series of exclusive photographs shot by Ta-ku, who is playing MoMA PS1 on October 25.
