First Listen: Watsky Releases "Live From The Regency Ballroom"

The Bay Area wordsmith drops his latest live album as a part of a digital collection exclusively available via BitTorrent Bundle.

San Francisco-born George Watsky took a different approach than most to building a hip hop empire.  With a smart mouth and knack for rhyme, a high-school aged Watsky found himself on poetry slam stages around Northern California and quickly became recognized as one of the Bay’s most dominant poetry slammers.  The then-twenty-year old’s next break saw him on the national stage, being introduced by Mos Def on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam stage.  Having reached the heights of the poetry slam world, a move into hip hop only seemed natural for the college-aged rapper.

Since his debut album in 2009, Watsky has since added 7 releases to his catalog, hit the Billboard charts, and toured the world.  Along the way, he’s built a global audience of diehard fans, hooked on hs ultra-fast bars, pop culture punchlines, and provocative hooks. Today, Watsky adds another live album release to his growing discography, giving fans a front row seat to a San Francisco hometown show from his 2014 All You Can Do Tour.
