It’s been exactly one year since Major Lazer unleashed Peace Is The Mission: a genre-defying trip across global pop that racked up billions of plays around the world. The album’s lead track, “Lean On” with DJ Snake featuring MØ, which currently hold the title of most streamed song ever, recalibrated pop as we know it and triumphed independence. The song peaked at #1 on the US Top 40 chart; becoming the most successful independently released record in history.
