Emerging LA-based producer PLS&TY teams up with Norway’s Autolaser to release first original track.
In just one year, future bass artist PLS&TY chalked up over 12 million listens on SoundCloud and reached number one on the Hype Machine chart 8 times with remixes of tracks by Baby Bash, Fergie, Snoop Dogg, and Drake. His take on Genevieve’s “Colors” even graced Hershey’s “Hello Happy” television commercial.
Both PLS&TY and Autolaser excel at remixing classic R&B and hip-hop into luxuriant future house and bass edits, a style they carried into PLS&TY’s debut original, “Used to This,” which ebbs and flows effortlessly with the soulful vocals of MOONZz.
Whether on tracks like Mark Morrison’s “2Morrow,” Odd Mob’s “This Game,” or Just a Gent’s “Heavy as a Heartbreak,” PLS&TY’s awesome trademark is in creating extra song hooks by combining thick, pulsating walls of chordal synth pads with fat backbeats and single note, melodic keyboard lines.
